Thankfully Adidas shoes get heavily discounted, though the heel lockdown IS a big bummer. But if you are newer to running, a looser heel is much more bearable than a pinching toebox or a shoe that feels like a brick under foot. and the wobbliness that comes from having so much boost underfoot, it can be a really good high-mileage/recovery
Theres less Boost in the UltraBoost 20, which I think is a good thing. There was just too much Boost in the heel area of the UltraBoost 19 and not enough in the forefoot. So, Adidas shaved off 7 millimeters of Boost from the midsole. The stack height went from 29 millimeters to 22 in the heel and then from 19 to 12 millimeters in the forefoot.
